Commercial Driving (CDL)

GRCC students Lucas Humphries, Chase Hickman, Ollie Turner, and Brady Crossman were the first to complete our CDL courses and pass their CDL A exams, in May 2024.

Education and certification in commercial driving can prepare you for many occupations in the field. At Grant Regional Career Center, you’ll learn about transportation and logistics, the CDL industry, driver qualifications, and the commercial vehicle.

This program guides students through the process of obtaining their CDL permit, practicing commercial driving, and preparing for the CDL A exam. Requires Department of Transportation physical and drug screening.

Typical careers: long-haul trucking | local delivery trucking | bus driving | construction transportation | large vehicle operation in various other fields

Typical salary range: $35,000 - $95,000+
