CNA training

At Grant Regional Career Center, nursing students get hands-on training, including the opportunity to work in local facilities we partner with, such as assisted living/nursing homes.

A CNA (certified nurse aide) is an individual who works primarily in long-term care facilities or nursing homes. The CNA assists residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, or eating. A CNA works under the direct supervision of licensed practical nurse or registered nurse and can perform only procedures that are within the scope of practice for a CNA.

GRCC provides students the opportunity to complete the written and skills competency evaluations for CNA certification, typically at least once a year.

The CNA certification is a great stepping stone to a wide variety of medical and medical assistant careers.
