GRCC students volunteer during United Way's Day of Action

Students enrolled in Grant County Regional Career Center's exercise science program recently took part in a community-wide volunteer effort as part of the United Way of Grant County's Day of Action on Sept. 14.

According to the United Way, more than 680 hours of volunteer work was done around the county in just 24 hours, with several hours contributed by our own GRCC students!

Our students helped clean up a portion of the Cardinal Greenway to help ensure the Grant County community has a safe and clean place to participate in exercise and physical activity.

Of the Day of Action, United Way of Grant County Executive Director LeeAnna Smith said in a press release: “Every brush stroke, every clean window, every weed pulled— it all adds up. It’s the power of one community, one day, and countless hands raised in service.”

GRCC is proud to have played a part in this event!
